'3310 0AS1S' is a Meta Spark augmented reality effect that transforms the camera feed into a retro display, capturing the classic graphic style of the Nokia 3310. By applying a monochromatic, pixelated filter to the world view, the effect's aesthetic and reference both contrast the simplicity of early cellphones with today’s complex digital world.
'3310 0AS1S' explores how our current tech environment — filled with smartphones, constant notifications, and endless algorithms — can sometimes feel overwhelming. It’s a nod to how the straightforward, less invasive technology of the past might offer a refreshing break or “oasis” from the chaos of modern digital life. The effect was designed to bring this feeling into the user's world and what they capture.
